Welcome to our farm..
Ballykeppogue Stud is a small 11 acre farm located in picturesque County of Wicklow, better know as the Garden Of Ireland. We are lucky to have found such an easily accessible location that is also so tranquil and peaceful, it is really a bit of paradise during the summer, winter maybe not so much!!
Our land is divided up into 4 larger pastures and 7 smaller paddocks, providing ample grazing and allowing all our horses their own their daily turnout. Additionally we make our own high quality hay from our land and other land nearby to ensure our horses have the highest quality diet over winter when pastures are depleted.
In 2013, we invested in specially made stables designed for the miniatures. Our show barn consists of 9 stalls with automatic water. We also have a further 5 stalls, which are utalised for our larger ponies and for foaling, again they all have automatic drinkers. All our stabling is under 24/7 CCTV. We are also lucky enough to have a large barn which our mares occupy during the winter months, allowing them relief from the wet Irish weather but still allowing them to live in a herd environment which is so important.
